Is your color powder tested?
Yes. SGS tested it for heavy metals, lead, and phthalates — all not detected. We’ll send the full reports to your PTA, principal, or district on request.
What about students with allergies or asthma?
Our powder was tested for all 14 major food allergens — thirteen were absent and gluten came in below 5 parts per million. Let families know in advance that color powder will be used; anyone with sensitive airways can wear a bandana or mask. We’re happy to send the allergen report or a sample.
Can we use it indoors?
We don’t recommend it. Color powder is made for outdoor use — like all fine powders, keep it away from open flame and don’t use it in enclosed spaces.
How much powder do we need?
A general rule of thumb is one to two 1-pound bags per color station for every 100–150 participants. Our Color Run Calculator gives a quantity for your exact event.
