How Much Color Powder Do I Need for a Color Race-Run?
Color race-runs are taking the country by storm, and rightly so. Not only do they give people the chance to get a bit of a workout in, but they’re fun, especially when they are completed with friends and family. Color race-run fundraisers are 5k races designed for runners and walkers of all ages and skill levels. They stand apart from other 5k races because of the addition of color powder. Along the race route, participants will pass a variety of color powder stations where spectators shower them with vibrant hues of color powder. They’re fun events and something that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime. But if you’re part of the team organizing a color race-run, how do you know how much color powder to order?
How Much Color Powder Do You Need for Your Next Race?
The amount of color powder you will need for your color race-run event depends solely on how many participants you expect to have and how many color stations will be situated along the route. A good rule of thumb would be to plan on at least a half-pound of color powder per participant for up to three color stations. If there are more than three color stations, plan on three-fourths to one pound of color powder per participant.
